Most of the below mentioned safety features, MUST be installed during the early stages of construction, e.g. grounding.

Therefore, whether you buy or build a house it is important for your safety to request for them:

1. Lightning protection
2. Emergency lights
3. Emergency exits
4. Grounding (installed in the house foundation)
5. Power surge protection
6. Fire protection (fire detectors etc.)
