This project presents the visualization of the design and construction of three modern and luxurious residences, each with a total area of 215 sq.m., developed on plots of 315 sq.m. The complex, with a total built area of 945 sq.m., is located in a privileged position in Porto Heli, Argolida, in close proximity to areas of cultural and natural interest and just 200 meters from the coastline. The main entrances of the residences are positioned along the roadway, ensuring direct and convenient access for the occupants.
The elongated geometry of the plots led to a design approach that emphasizes vertical development, organizing the primary day and night functions across distinct levels. This verticality is further accentuated by the height differentiation between the two main volumes composing the residences, as well as by the use of extended openings in one of them, expressing a sense of extroversion and visual connection between the interior and the surrounding public environment. For this reason, the most frequently used functions are accommodated within this particular volume.
The concept of two distinct outdoor areas, maintaining a balance between private and semi-public character, emerged from the need to introduce spatial variety within such elongated plots. The main outdoor space is oriented towards the road, encouraging interaction with the external environment, while a more secluded outdoor area is positioned towards the interior of the plot. The selection of materials, textures, and color palettes, along with their careful combination, aims to enhance a sense of “home” within a contemporary architectural context. At the same time, the interplay of different surface treatments highlights key design elements, allowing them to stand out against the neutral white backdrop of the facades.
