The project concerns a detached residence of 370 sq.m., developed across three levels plus a basement, designed to accommodate a four-member family. It is located at the edge of Chalandri, on the foothills of Mount Penteli, within a recently urbanized area characterized by small plots and a compact urban fabric. The corner plot, approximately 430 sq.m. in size, includes an extended front yard.
The main living spaces (living room, dining area, and kitchen) are arranged on the ground floor, while the bedrooms are distributed across the upper levels, taking full advantage of the southern orientation. The building volume is articulated by a planted atrium, which divides it into two distinct wings. The placement of the atrium establishes a subtle relationship between the living room and the kitchen, allowing both visual connection and functional independence, while also providing natural lighting and ventilation to the upper levels.
The outdoor space is seamlessly connected to the interior through continuous openings, allowing it to be perceived as a unified environment. The swimming pool and an additional water feature frame the living area, forming a visual backdrop behind the fireplace and contributing to a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
The surrounding landscape, including the atrium, is designed to create a sequence of diverse outdoor environments as one moves around the residence, enabling the full utilization of the garden as an integrated whole.
